Meet Guest Speaker Joris Stolker, AcyMailing Ambassador

Joris Stolker, an Acyba ambassador, has been building Joomla sites for 10 years.  He is passionate about creating beautiful sites that have the best user experience for him and his clients.

Joris loves to use extensions, quickly saying he is not a developer, and often offers feedback and suggestions to developers/extension builders.  Nearly 6 years ago, Joris began using Acymailing for himself, and today, he has over 40 sites using Acymailing, from sending one newsletter per year to thousands a week.

About a year ago, Joris began Acymailing 6, testing the new amazing drag-and-drop feature.  Though the initial experience was frustrating with all of the bugs, in the beginning, he saw the potential.  Joris sent over 400 emails of feedback with over 50 videos of his user experience, helping to create a more stable version of Acymailing 6.

Join us May 13th where Joris will present Getting Started with AcyMailing

RSForm!Pro 2.2.4 - Multi File Upload feature, improved usability and functionality

We are happy to announce you our new and improved version of RSForm!Pro. Let's take the main features of the component one by one and talk a little more about each one.

Multi File Upload

Since this was a highly demanded feature by our clients, we decided to include this in the latest version of the component. This feature will allow your users to upload multiple files during their form submission, through a single form field.

Until this version, if you wanted to allow your users to upload multiple files, you had to create a File Upload field for each file that had to be uploaded.

Now, you can easily achieve this by editing your File Upload field, switching to the Attributes tab and setting to "Yes" the "Multiple" option. When this option is enabled, more configuration fields will become visible, such as: Minimum Uploads, Maximum Uploads or Separator option which will allow you to configure the fields as per your needs.

Enclosure and Delimiter options for CSV export

One of the most useful functionalities of RSForm!Pro is that allows exporting the form submissions into CSV format file through Submission Directory menu item.

CSV vulnerability explained

Title: CSV vulnerability explained
Article:

How can CSV files be affected?

Well, technically CSV files are text files - the purpose of a CSV is in its name - Comma Separated Values. The issue is actually a combination of spreadsheet software interpreting values as formulas (thus no longer treating values as plain text) and the tendency of users to ignore security prompts - or to agree to terms and conditions without scrolling through :-)

RSForms and RSEvents are extensions we use and discuss in our group. In case you missed it, here's information that RSJoomla has released on GDPR compliance which covers several of their extensions.

With the new GDPR legislation coming into effect starting with the 25th of May, we decided to provide a list of how each component records personal information and how we updated each one to align with the new standards.
